The reviews are very good. The film is very happy with a mix of humour and feelings, and has a good rhythm. Besides, it gives a message of optimism about life.
UP UP es la nueva película de Pixar (Disney) y puedes verla en 3D en los cines de Palencia y Valladolid. Esta es la historia: Carl Fredricksen tiene 78 años y es un vendedor de globos. Su mujer muere y él va a perder la casa así que tiene una idea. Ata muchos globos a su casa para volar y viajar a America del Sur. Pero descubre que Russell, un niño de 8 años, esttá viajando con él también. Al principio Carl está enfadado pero después... Las críticas son muy buenas. La película es muy divertida con una mezcla de humor y sentimientos y tiene un buen ritmo. Además, nos da un mensaje optimista sobre la vida.
My peña is La Cuerda. We are 25 members. We wear a checked red and white shirt and white trousers. Our cave is next to the "repetidor" and it is nexto to Peña El Pozo and Peña La Guadaña. This year is very special because we are going to carry the Virgin and it is the second time that we carry her. One of our female members was Lady: Carmen de la Rosa. This year, we are going to serve the hot chocolate on Saturday morning, too. We usually give ham, chorizo, salchichón and snacks. And we give limonada to drink.

PEÑA LA CUERDA My peña es La Cuerda. Somos 25 componentes. Vestimos una camisa a cuadros rojos y blancos con pantalón blanco. Nuestra cueva está al lado del repetidor y al lado de la Peña El Pozo y la Peña La Guadaña. Este año es muy especial porque vamos a llevar a la Virgen y es la segunda vez que la llevamos. Una de nuestras componentes femeninas fue dama: Carmen de la Rosa. Este año, vamos a servir el chocolate caliente el sábado por la mañana también. Normalmente damos jamón, chorizo y aperitivos. Y damos limonada para beber. ¡¡¡Os deseamos unas felices fiestas!!!
OCTOPUS SALAD Ingredients: octopus, boiled potatoes, lettuce, oil, paprika and salt
TO COOK:
Peel the potatoes and cut them in square pieces. Put the lettuce, the octopus and the potatoes on a plate. Put paprika on top. Then add oil and finally the salt.
IT IS VERY TASTY!!!
ENSALADA DE PULTO. Ingredientes: pulpo, patatas hervidas, lechuga, aceite, pimentón y sal. Para cocinar: Pelar las patatas y cortarlas en dados. Poner la lechuga, el pulpo y las patatas en un plato. Poner pimentón encima. Luego aañadir aceite y finalmente la sal. ¿Está muy bueno!
The Peña El Trillo started in 1976 so it is 34 years old.
When the peña started, there were thirty members that were 12-13 years old. And another older group joined them.
The first name for the peña was "Los Cavernicolas" and the cellar would have bones, skulls ... but when they entered the cellar there were a lot of threshers and they decided a new name: Peña el Trillo.
In 2,000 it was their 25th birthday. They celebrated it with a special mass. After the mass they gave a Spanish wine in the door of the Town Hall and they gave everybody a badge of El Trillo. Finally, there was a dinner with people of the peña and former members of the peña.
In 1994, they carried the Virgin. In 2008 there were 120 members. They are friendly but there are different groups of friends that go out together. Their ages are from very young to 56 years old. There are single and married people with children.
Peña El Trillo is in a cellar at the end of San Juan Street. They wear white trousers, purple t-shirts, and a white scarf.
They participate in the fiestas with several activities. From last year they put a cinema in the opne air in the steps of the church with films for children.
From their cellar they offer limonada, beer, vermut, crisps and snacks. At night they do a cubatada for the members of the peña and for everybody. There are games, music, karaoke and it is very funny. The cubatadas are on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night.
PEÑA EL TRILLO La peña El Trillo empezó en 1976 así que tiene 34 años. Cuando la peña empezó había 30 componentes que tenían 12 y 13 años.Otro grupo más mayor (15-16 años) se les unió. El primer nombre para la peña era "Los Cavernícolas" y la bodega tendría huesos, calaveras,... pero cuando entraron en la bodega había muchos trillos y decidieron un nuevo nombre: Peña El Trillo. En el 2000 fue su 25 cumpleaños. Los celebraron con una misa especial. Después de la misa dieron un vino español en la puerta del ayuntamiento y dieron a todo el mundo un pin de El Trillo. Finalmente hubo una cena con gente de la peña y antiguos componentes de la peña. En el 1994 llevaron la Virgen. En 2008 había 120 componentes. Hay diferentes grupos de amigos que salen juntos. Sus edades son desde muy pequeños hasta 56 años. Hay solteros y matrimonios con niños,. La peña El Trillo esta en una bodega al final de la Calle San Juan. Visten pantalón blanco, camiseta morada y pañuelo blanco. Participan en las fiestas con varias actividades. Desde el año pasado ponen un cine al aire libre en las escaleras de la iglesia con películas para niños. Desde su bodega ofrecen limonada, cerveza, vermut, patatas fritas y snacks. Por la noche hacen una cubatada para los componentes de la peña y para todo el mundo. Hay juegos, música, karaoke y es muy divertido. Las cubatadas son el viernes, sábado y domingo por la noche.
On Saturday 8th August, there was a swimming championship in the swimming-pools in Dueñas at 12:00.
There were two categories. The first category was from 8 to 12 years old. Rodrigo Pajares arrived the first, Jorge Nieto the second and Lucia Yaguero the third.
And the second category was from 15 years old. Jorge Rodriguez arrived the first, David Rojo the second and Galo the third.
Then, there was a special exhibition in which young Andrea, Rocio and Susana swam a length. There weren't many people because it was cold but it was a success and the spectators enjoyed it.
El sabado 8 de agosto hubo un campeonato de natación en las piscinas de Dueñas a las 12:00. Había 2 categorisas. La primera categoría era de 8 a 12 años. Rodrigo Pajares llegó el primero, Jorge Nieto el segundo y Lucia Yaguero la tercera. Y la segunda categoría era des 15 años. Jorge Rodriguez llegó el primero, David Rojo llegó el segundo y Galo el tercero. Luego, hubo una exhibición especial en la que las pequeñas Andrea, Rocio y Susana nadaron un corto. No había mucha gente porque hacía frio pero fue un éxito y los espectadores disfrutaron mucho.

Last Sunday 9th August, there was a horse race in Rueda (Valladolid). There were different categories:
- a race for children (till 12 years old) - a race for adults. - a lace race for everybody.
The family Bujidos from Dueñas was there. Rafael Bujidos was third in the adults race (2,2km) and he was the third in the lace race too. Nerea Bujidos was the fifth in both races.
The winners received trophies and wine.
Congratulations to Nerea and Rafael for their good performance.
CARRERAS DE CABALLOS EN RUEDA. El pasado domingo 9 de agosto hubo una carrera de caballos en Rueda (Valladoli). Había 3 categorias diferentes: carrera para niños, carrera para adultos, y carrera de lazos para todo el mundo. La familia Bujidos de Dueñas estuvo allí. Rafael Bujidos fue tercero en la carrara para adultos (2,2km) y fue tercero también en la carrera de lazos. Nerea Bujidos fue quinta en ambas carreras. Los ganadores recibieron trofeos y vino. Enhorabuena a Nerea y Rafael por su actuación.

Ana Tarre's girls received the highest number of points in the Swimming World Cup. Spain got seven medals: six silver medals and one old medal. Ana Torre's girls have a big merit. They say goodbye with a big smile.
This championship was difficult for the Spanish swimmers. Gemma Mengual said that the jury wasn't fair and that they didn't recognized the value of some exercises. The Russian team beat the Spanish team in all performances except one that the Russian team didn't participate and Spain got the gold medal.
PREMIO AL MEJOR EQUIPO en natación sincronizada en la Copa del Mundo de Roma. Gemma Mengual cogió el premio. Las chicas de Ana Tarres recibieron el mayor número de puntos en la Copa del Mundo de Natación. España consiguió siete medallas: seis de plata y una medalla de oro. Las chicas de Ana Torres tienen un gran mérito. Dicen adios al campeonato con una gran sonrisa. Este campeonato fue difícil para las nadadoras españolas. Gemma Mengual dijo que el jurado no fue justo y que no reconocieron el valor de algunos ejercicios. El equipo ruso ganó al equipo español en todas las actuaciones excepto una en que los rusos no participaron y España recibió la medalla de oro.
FESTIVAL OF THE THRESHING in Castrillo de Villavega.
The 9th Festival of the Threshing will take place in Castrillo de Villavega on 8th and 9th August.
It's organized by Asociación La Trilla and they want to show the old works in the fields. To explain these works there will be mules from Ciudad Real and a lot of old working tools. The people will dress like in the old times. This festival is 9 years old and hundreds of people will come to see it. They will offer Castillian food to the people and there will be music all the time.
TIMETABLE: Friday 7th - poetry about the Independance War at 22:00 hoursSaturday 8th - parade of old instruments of work at 11:00. They will give the medal "The Gold Thresher" to Cesar Lumbreras at 16:30 hours. Sunday 9th - mass at 13:00. In the evening there will be games and conpetitions. There will be Castillian food on Saturday and Sunday.
IX FIESTA DE LA TRILLA en Castrillo de Villavega. La XI Fiesta de la Trilla tendrá lugar en Castrillo de Villavega los día 8 y 9 de agosto. Esta organizada por Asociación La Trilla y quiere mostrar los trabajos antiguos en el campo. Para explicar estos trabajos, habrá mulas de Ciudad Real y muchos instrumentos de trabajo antiguos. La gente vestirá como en los viejos tiempos. Este festival tiene 9 años y cientos de personas vienen a verlo. Ofrecerán comida castellana a la gente y habrá música todo el tiempo. Programa: 7 viernes: poesía sobre la Guerra de la Independencia a las 22:00. 8 sábado: desfile de viejos instrumentos de trabajo a las 11:00. Darán la medalla El Trillo de Oro a Cesar Lumbreras a las 16:30. 9 domingo: misa a las 13:00. Por la tarde habrá juegos y concursos. Habrá comida castellana el sábado y el domingo.

The Spanish selection of waterpolo faced the Serbian team in the World Final in Rome, but the Serbians won at penalties.
What an end! What a cruel end!
Spain was one step away from the gold but the Serbians took this dream away from us. Serbia was better than Spain from the penalty spot (7-6) with an espectacular atmosphere in the steps of the impressive Italian Forum, more than 5,000 people filled the night.
The final began with the ball for Serbia. At the end of the first quarter they were going 2-2 thanks to Udovicic who out of nowhere shot from 8 metres and scored but Xavier García answered with another goal to close the quarter 3-2
Three minutes before the end of the match, Serbia was winning 6-4 but Xavier García scored 2 goals and forced the extension. In the first half of the extension Spain scored first but Serbia scored again. At the end of the second half the result was still a draw so we had to go to penalties. They were very lucky as the Serbian goalkeeper stopped the last ball from the Spanish team winning the gold medal.
The Spanish players felt miserable but the result is very good indeed. All Spain is happy with the team's performance and with the silver medal they are bringing home. Congratulations to the Spanish team for all their efforts and for this wonderful result.
LA MEDALLA DE PLATA MÁS AMARGA La selección española de waterpolo se enfrentó al equipo serbio en la Final de la Copa del Mundo en Roma, pero los serbios ganaron a penaltis. ¡Qué final! ¡Qué final cruel! España estuvo a un paso del oro pero los serbios nos quitaron este sueño. Serbia fue mejor que España desde el punto de penalty (7-6) con un ambiente espectacular en las escaleras del impresionante Forum italiano, más de 5,000 personas llenaron la noche. La final empezó con la pelota para Serbia. Al terminar el primer cuarto iban 2-2 gracias a Udovicic que, de ninguna parte, disparó desde 8 metros de distancia y marcó, pero Xavier García respondió con otro gol para cerrar el cuarto 3-2. Tres minutos antes del final del partido, Serbia iba ganando 6-4 pero Xavier García marcó 2 goles y forzó la prorroga. En la primera mitad de la prorroga, España marcó primero pero Serbia marcó otra vez. Al final de la segunda mitad el resultado era todavía de empate así que tuvimos que ir a los penaltis. Ellos tuvieron suerte cuando el portero serbio paró la última pelota del equipo español ganando la medalla de oro. El equipo español se sintió desconsolado pero el resultado es muy bueno. Toda España esta contenta con la actuacióndel equipo y con la medalla de plata que se traen a casa. Enhorabuena al equipo español por todos sus esfuerzos y por este maravilloso resultado.
The concert will be at 22,30 hours on Friday 7th August. The concert will be free and they think that there will be a lot of people. The concert will be celebrated in the field near the park La Barcena beside the camping area and near the football pitch.
This is the first time that an important group comes to Cervera. It was an idea of the Council and it was encouraged by the Environmental and Cultura Conserjería, the National Trust Fund and Caja Spain. The event will cost 40,000€
The group Revolver is going to be 20 years old and it is very well-known in Spain. Some of their most famous songs are "Si es tan solo amor", "El roce de tu piel", "El dorado", "No va a más", "Calle Mayor" and "Faro de Lisboa" that will be sung by thousands of people on Friday inCervera de Pisuerga.
CONCIERTO GRATUITO DE REVOLVER EN CERVERA DE PISUERGA. El concierto será a las 22,30 horas el viernes 7 de agosto. El concierto será gratuito y creen que habrá mucha gente. El concierto se celebrará en el campo cerca del parque La Barcena al lado del camping y cerca del campo de futbol. Esta es la primera vez que un grupo importante viene a Cervera. Fue una idea del ayuntamiento y fue apoyada por la Conserjería de Medio Ambiente y Cultura, la Fundación de Patrimonio Nacional y Caja España. El evento costará 40,000€. El grupo Revolver va a hacer 20 años y es muy conocido en España. Algunas de sus canciones más famosas son "Si es tan solo amor", "El roce de tu piel", "El dorado", "No va a más", "Calle Mayor" y "Faro de Lisboa" que serán cantadas por miles de personas el viernes en Cervera de Pisuerga.
Petra was born on 7th June 2009 so on 7th August she will be 2 months old.
