PEÑA EL POZO.

It is an old peña, from 1977.
It has from 40 to 50 members. They are friends for a lot of years. Some are from Dueñas but others are from Valladolid, Santander, Argentina,... They are between 8 and 45 years old.

They wear a blue blouse with white letters and a dark blue sweatshirt with white letters.
The peña has a cave that is very high. To arrive there you must go up over the Carril de Salas.

You can see the peña El Pozo members in the bulls where they eat their sandwiches and they give melon to the bullfighters.

1995 was a special year because they carried the Virgin. Another special year was when the peña was 25 years old. To celebrate it, they gave a special tapa and a lot of people went up to the cave.

This year they have a special pincho too:
- on Saturday they are going to give "garbanzos con callos"
- on Sunday they are going to give "marmitaco".


PEÑA EL POZO.
Es una peña antigua, desde 1977.
Tiene entre 40 y 50 componentes. Son amigos desde hace muchos años. Algunos son de Dueñas pero otros son de Valladolid, Santander, Argentina,... Tienen entre 8 y 45 años.
Visten blusa azul con letras blancas y sudadera azul oscuro con letras blancas.
La peña está en una cueva que esta muy alta. Para llegar allí tienes que subir por encima del Carril de Salas.
Puedes ver a los comoponentes de la peña en los toros donde comen sus bocadillos y dan melón a lor toreros.
1995 fue un año especial porque llevaron la Virgen. Otro año especial fue cuando la peña hizo los 25 años. Para celebrarlo direron una tapa especial y mucha gente subió a la cueva. Este año tienen un pincho especial también:
- el sábado van a dar "garbanzos con callos"
- el domingo van a dar "marmitaco".

RUTAS PARA EL VERANO: LA TEJADA DE TOSANDE by Marta Paredes

LA TEJADA DE TOSANDE.

To go to the yew trees in Tosande we take a path in Dehesa de Montejo in the Montaña Palentina.
From the C-626 Road we see the valley of Tosande.
After some fields, the path goes down. We continue walking along a narrow valley. On the left there is a little bridge and there is a path that goes up the mountain. The yew trees are on the top. We continue along the path and we go down the valley. We take the right path and return to the bridge. Then, we return along the path.

The yew tree is a rare tree in nature. In the Montaña Palentina, it is strange to find a lot of yew trees. Here, the yew trees have diametres of 1.5 metres.

Path: 10 km
Time: three and a half hours
When: all the months. In autumn it is easy to find them.




LA TEJADA DE TOSANDE.
Para ir a los tejos de Tosande cogemos un camino en Dehesa de Montejo en la Montaña Palentina. Desde la carretera C-626 vemos el valle de Tosande. Después de algunos campos, el camino baja. Continuamos caminando por un valle estrecho. A la izquierda hay un pequeño puente y hay un camino que sube a la montaña. Los tejos están en la cima. Continuamos por el camino y bajamos al valle. Cogemos el camino a la derecha y volvemos al puente. Luego, volvemos por el camino. El tejo es un árbol raro en la naturaleza. En la Montaña Palentina es raro encontrar muchos tejos juntos. Aquí, los tejos tienen diámetros de 1,5 metros. Camino: 10 km Tiempo: tres horas y media Cuando: todos los meses. En otoño es fácil encontrarles.

MARTA DOMINGUEZ GOT THE RECORD OF SPAIN IN 3.000 METERS

Marta Dominguez got the best time in the year in the 3.000 meters in Barcelona.

With this race Marta Dominguez reduces her own record in more than seven seconds. Marta finished the race with 9:09, two seconds less than the best time that the Russian Gulnara Galkina-Samitova had.
Marta feels that she is ready for Berlin.

In Barcelona, Jackson Quiñonez got the best time in the year in 110 hurdles (13.45).
Congratulations Marta. We wish you the best for Berlin.




MARTA DOMÍNGUEZ CONSIGUIÓ EL RECORD DE ESPAÑA EN 3.000 METROS.
Marta Domínguez consiguió en Barcelona el mejor tiempo del año en 3.000 metros.
Con esta carrera Marta Domínguez reduce su propio record en más de 7 segundos.
Marta terminó la carrera con 9:09, 2 segundos menos que el mejor tiempo que la rusa Gulnara Galkin-Samitova tenía. Marta siente que está preparada para Berlín.
En Barcelona, Jackson Quiñonez consiguió el mejor tiempo del año en 110 vallas (13.45)
